The pediatric version is here!

We’ve been asked about this so often, so we went ahead and did it! Here’s a sneak peek at the results of the pediatric version of our smart textile to replace plaster casts in the design of AFOs.

🚀 Tackling the challenge of foot shape capture in pediatric orthotics

✅ For the first time, we demonstrate a miniaturized version of our smart textile fitting children’s feet (EU size 33, US 2, UK 1).

🎯 The goal: precisely capturing the foot shape of children who are usually difficult to immobilize more than two seconds!

📏 Results: measurements taken directly on the foot with a caliper show millimeter-level agreement with the dimensions extracted from the digital shape generated in less than 2 seconds by our smart textile.

🔍 In comparison, optical scans performed with the Artec Leo proved more challenging with lively children, which may explain the slightly larger measurements observed in the Artec Leo’s scan results.
